Day 3 no school. "home school" learning.
- Earth science- learn to read the topographic map to decide which trail to take.
Put learning into practice and hit the trails.
Be glad you are not hiking for PE. Topographic map had lines really close together. Do you know what that means?

Botany - Ask yourself, does moss grow on the north side of a tree?
Nope, not in Missouri, it grows all the way around the tree.
- Lunch break- kids on a log- which is going to lead to engineering and home ec tomorrow for log cushion plan. Stay tuned.

Earth science- study of erosion. Notice the trails are eroded and
flooded with water while the undisturbed ground on both sides of the
trail is not.
- Entomology- Failed to see any bugs, this is a major
miracle in Missouri! We hope to never be able to study this on our no
school break!
While we were doing "home school" studies outdoors,
Scott did some Vo-Tec and installed new faucets, all that extra hand
washing just got easier!
